Has anybody received any assignments yet? My two assigners have given me a total of 36 games so far. I'm chompin' at the bit.

I have 46 college games so far, starting on February 12. A lot of those are doubleheaders.

I have 18 high school dates starting on March 18. Those are all doubleheaders, so 36 total.

It's going to be a busy spring.

We don't start till March but I will be very busy in Jan and Feb. with Rules Clinics every Wednesday and Field Clinics every Saturday. Plus Souther Umpire Camp starting Feb 10th.

My season started for me today with the purchase of omen pair of Smitty combo pants, and 2 navy ball bags. Sunday evening I start with our association workouts at a local baseball academy. On February 5 and 6 I get to attend the Bruce Doane Sr Umpire Camp in Grand Rapids. Word on the street is that assignments should start coming out tomorrow.

I have 54 HS games on the schedule starting 3rd week of March. DH's every Saturday until May 21st. Travel ball leagues start meetings end of this month. HS rules meetings start 3rd week of Feburary I think. First Babe Ruth meetings start this weekend, I have 3 area leagues I work for. Looking forward to a nice long eventful season.

No, this will be my first year attending. A couple of the higher-ups in my association are instructors up there. Also, over the course of the season, the 50/50 drawing at our weekly meetings is used to fund the trip for the guys. It's a pretty good deal.

Well, yeah I think so. I have to pay for everything up front, and there's no guaranty that I will be 100% reimbursed. It's where the guys from my group go.
