I thought this was interesting because of the ejection he had last year.

I think Drake handled it well. He remained calm and in control. It is almost a textbook example of how to handle catchers. Aside from last years spitting incident, Molina wants those pitches. And without going into if Drake missed the pitches or not he was trying to work with his catcher. Were these FYC 's, like the announcers almost implied, no.

The idiot announcer says "he hit his spot" when F2 is clearly set up way outside which is where Drake is putting his focus. When you miss that bad, especially at the MLB level, you might not get that pitch...not b/c the umpire is being a donkey, but b/c he simply might miss the pitch.

I agree Rob did well here. The pitch outside wasnt even close and the one looked a little low that Molina pulled up.

Maybe Molina was asking Rob why he ditched the Mizuno mask for that Dyna Lite (look closely) lol

Hrabosky during the game tonight: "A lot of the time umpires just inflame situations and make things worse".

He also said plate umpires "Guess on the outside pitch because they tuck in behind the catcher on the inside of the plate".

Like I said, he is a moron.
