I forget what game...someone ill have details...1st based ump badly missed a call at 1st (called safe when the gut was out by a big full step...not sure what happened) and they appealed and overturned it...they said it was the 1st time LL had overturned a call (referring to a few HR or fair/foul calls the last 2 years)...but forgot about the regional final this year i guess.....i feel bad for the guy...im sure it will be replayed a lot and (sorry brothers) it was a terrible call..

i still dont like replay though

EDIT - they just overturned another in the Wash/Minn game

5 challenges

3 reversals

.600 Average of blown/missed calls.

Not a good average.

Play at 3rd was very close and the tag was late.

You sound like ESPN.

On the play at first, ...the first challenge/replay ....I thought it was nice that the coach spoke to the umpire to make sure he understood that his exuberance after the reversal wasn't showing him up. He didn't have to do that, and it was a nice gesture ....B)

There was a reversal today that was total crap. Banger at first, it goes to replay. They overturned it on a play that you had to watch at super slow motion to see he is probably safe. In no way was it clear and definitive, nor did it go to an umpire conference. Evidently the umpire was a Harry grad and had work some minor league ball.

Replay on judgment calls is stupid in any sport. At least with the NFL, the have a limit on what is reviewable - and it is the crew chief that makes the final call based on what he sees on the replay.

Absolutely untrue. I don't think there has been more than one maybe two in any game. To the best of my knowledge there have been eight total. If your challege isn't overturned then you lose the right to challange in that game unless it goes to extra innings.

Someone told me the other day that one game in the LLWS had something like 21 replays? Is that right? Anyone know?

Maybe they mistook "21-minute delay"?
