Not that I think the call was wrong or anything, but I would have loved to see the entire infield to see where R2 was at the time of the out for demonstration purposes.

I liked how demonstrative Gary was in waving off the run.

Hate to be nit picky, but its TIMING play for everyone outside of forums, I am afraid.

For some reason, the last half dozen umpire meetings I attended, EVERY instructor who aint a Pro or D1 umpire insists on saying TIMING play, not TIME play.

So, by virtue of the LCD and Majority/Mob Rule, between you and I, your going to have to get used to the fact that they're opinion matters more then ours, as their will be no side affects, there declaring TIMING play to be correcter than TIME play.

Had a chance yesterday for this exact same play, but my partner called R2 safe at 2b so I didn't get a chance to wave off the run.

It was almost the exact same play.
