So I was informed today I would be getting to call the 5A State Championship game this Saturday night at 7:00. Pretty pumped about this. Not only should it be a great game, but it is a huge honor! Just thought I'd share with you guys!

Actually, the game was postponed until Sunday, so we got to do a little touring on Bourbon St. in New Orleans Saturday night. Game was at 2:00 Sunday evening, and it was a great one. 3-2 ball game; ca

Actually, the game was postponed until Sunday, so we got to do a little touring on Bourbon St. in New Orleans Saturday night. Game was at 2:00 Sunday evening, and it was a great one. 3-2 ball game; can't ask for much better game. Lasted a little over 2 hours. I had 1st base, and had really the only 3 calls of the day. They were all 3 bangers, but it was a hell of a day. About half way through the game things really sank in. Although I knew I was very fortunate to just have the opportunity to be there, it really hit me how there are thousands of officials who don't get this opportunity in a season, and majority not even in a lifetime. I'm only 24 years old, so I am very anxious to see where things go from here.
