I have been coming to this site daily for the last year or so... and finally decided that I would pull the trigger on joining. I umpire mostly fastpitch ASA softball but do umpire a little baseball, the town I grew up in host a little league tournament every summer that I always help umpire.

As you can see from my screen name I am a third generation umpire. My grandfather umpired baseball during the 50's and 60's. His brother in law, my great uncle, umpired ASA softball all over the country. He worked many DI games and national tournaments. My mother was a standout fastpitch softball player and now umpires. She has since passed on the gene to my sister and I. As you can tell we are a family of umpires and when we are all together there are a lot of great stories being told.

As I read on this site I see it is mostly baseball umpires but I am hoping to add a little softball "flair". A lot of the topics cross over into both sports, game managment & equipment to name a couple.

I look forward to learning and showing passion for the profession with fellow umpires.
