Where are y'all getting these codes? I have an ebags account and have signed up for emails, but all I get are steals of the day.

Thanks for posting that info. I sent back the one I bought in "plum" color and got the black one for $50 less. Great company. They have free returns with no hassle.

VERY tempted to pick up one of these - just waiting to find a valid promotional code as most I've found expired a few days ago. Anyone have an opinon on the original vs. the 2.0?

Thanks

Thanks for the code. Went ahead and ordered one of the original versions and have now loaded it up with my gear. I went from a Diamond gear bag (the hockey bag style) and a separate garment bag with my uniforms and such to being able to put it all into this bag - just barely.

The top section I have a chest protector, shin guards, mask, plate shoes and base shoes. Have to be pretty thorough in putting everything in, but it just fits without putting too much stress on the bag or zippers. Bottom split into 3 sections. 6 shirts and 2 pants in one section, t-shirts, socks, belt, etc. in the middle and then cap caddy, jock, accessories bag and a couple other items in the other section. Put my ball bag and brush in the zippered mesh pocket above where my uniforms are go help keep them in place. It weighed in at 37 points total, so all good if I was going to fly with it (not that I plan to).

Provincial (Canadian version of State) U18 championship tournament this weekend. First two games we get a change room, the next two are out of the trunk of the car. That will be the next test of how this bag functions.

i used this bag for my cdp trip. i like it much better than the 36" diamond. its more manageable.

Sadly, unless I get some fall ball or some games in a tournament in FL I worked last year my season ended yesterday. I've used this bag since I first posted about it, here is a follow up after one last item:

IF YOU NEED GAMES COVERED BETWEEN NOW AND DECEMBER 31 LET ME KNOW!

The bag has been a marvelous tool for me since I started using it. I still have the older model, and I pack my brushes, indicators, pens, and occasionally other items in the outside zipper pocket. Easy to get things I need, easy to put away. The side/wet pocket on top holds everything from my wallet if I don't lock it up to medical supplies, shaving gear, shoe polish, shower gear, sometimes protective cups, even hats once or twice. That little pocket is a godsend, big enough for lots of small items, or small enough if you have to load the top area to the brim.

The upper compartment holds clothing and ballbags, plus hats if I don't use a hat carrier. I can put my old +POS wet clothes bag in the top if I do not have too many uniform items. However being tall creates a big problem for uniforms. the solution I found that works best is a large folded clothes carrier you can get storage type stores. In the carrier I can put 3 pairs of pants, and up to 8 or 9 shirts folded that will look good for a while. I thing pack tights, my hexpad plate tights, socks, and other clothing spares around the carrier. If I'm careful I can fit all my uniforms in the top.

In the bottom case I never really found a great way to fit gear in, since I wear 18" or 19" guards, currently size 15 Reebok plate and base (not Zigs) shoes for most games. If I pack carefully I can put both pairs of shoes, my smaller folding Carlucci, my shinguards, and my Wilson Ti mask, plus a rag or two and my Scrubbing Bubbles. Sadly, I have to carry my harshell Carlucci in a seperate bag or leave it in the car since it will not fit in the bag without taking up so much space I can't fit everything else in. Unlike most posters here I never use the side braces in the bottom compartment, I could never fit everything in the bag without the maximum space possible in the bottom comaprtment.

After a lot of use, here is what I believe about the bag: 1. It travels well. I fly with it, I drive with it, and never had a single problem lugging it around. It fits everywehere and gets loaded and unloaded easily as I need it. I do have a Force 3 as a backup for extra gear, and while I love it too the E-bag is easier to handle. The handle and bag length is longer than the Force 3, making it earier for a taller person to pull/push. All good for me. 2. It deforms enough that you can make things fit better. To understand what I mean consider the Force 3, the fairly stiff sidewalls of the compartments are great, but if I don't pack my extra-large sized stuff perfectly I can't zip it. With the E-bag I can let the lower compartment deform a litte and still zip the bag faily easily.  3. the small side pocket in the top part of the bag has no equal in umpiring bags I've seen. It makes my live so easy to throw in something extra I need, like sunscreen, or rags, or any extra item I need. 4. The pockets or small compartments on the lids of each bag are extememly flexible and do a wonderful job. If the diamond 36 bag top lid was as flexible as this was I might still have it, but the handles on the e-bag are 100000% better to use than a bag without it.

I have many other things to say about it, but I've run out of time and paitence today, so here is my conclusion: The Force 3 is an excellent bag, I think the e-Bag is a tad better, but you can't go wrong with either one.  If you are a big or tall man, you are never going to find a bag that meets your needs. They do not make any bag wide enough to easily carry a hardshell protector unless you use a small protector or one that folds up. If you have long or wide feet, the shoes will take up so much room the rest of the bag has to be packed around the shoes. There is no bag made for multiple pairs of anything bigger than size 12 or 13 shoes that makes it easy to pack gear in and around them. If I wore size 10's I could use any bag out there, wearing 15's especially highcut NB460's take up too much space. A perfect travel bag would be 2-3 inches wider than the e-bag or the force 3, and solve all of my problems with both bags. But if it comes down to one bag, it is the E-Bags Mother Lode 29".

See I put all of my clothes on the bottom, and gear on top, so if i flip open the top compartment, my clothes stay wrinkle free.

Men,

I tried that this year and last year. I didn't have room for my gear in the top half of the bag. Large size shoes and any hardshell protector are too big for it, just like the Force 3.
