Worked 2 Games tonight. Both Solo.

10 U Game. Everything good no problems until the last inning. Losing team at bat. Banger play at first low throw 1B scoops it up. "out" Coaches start screaming that it was safe. I didnt even think it was that close. Good Half Step. All of a sudden I become the worst Umpire ever. Coaches saying I just want to go home early.

12U Game. My strike zone was great. No complaints. Calls on the bases great.

But the team that was winning the game and ended up winning kept complaining that the opposing pitcher was balking and I wasn't calling it. I did feel like I missed some. For some reason I was just not picking it up. I felt kinda bad but I just didn't have it with the balks.

I wish I could work some games this weekend so I can get on with it. But Its my 50th Bday and headed out of town to party for the weekend.

So i guess I have to wait till next week.

He scheduled you solo for a 12U game? Damn. Where were you? I worked a 10U solo and a 12U with a partner at MSA.

I'm with Brian there...solo game, I'm not putting up with anything on the bases.

I agree that you have to shut yakking down early, especially when solo. Happy birthday and welcome to the half century mark. I have 52 coming next month. Creak, creak.

No, but this is two bad stories in a row I've heard from you...Had a few guys tell me it's a bad place to call. Hopefully I'll stay over here on the Southside :smachhead:
