Bad name choice?

Hey guys. I haven't been on this forum, but I saw it and registered to inquire about a CP on the classifieds board. I chose the same username as I have used on other forums.

Then I got a tongue-in-cheek PM saying this name had been used on the board before and I probably should change.

For some of you vets, is this name tainted beyond repair? :cheers:

I think you should change your screen name to "YankeesSuck" but that just me...

You should be aware that this is an umpire's forum... everyone's got a favorite team, but look around you... you won't find too many using a team name. Except for KCFan... it's hard to give him grief, because we all feel so sorry for the Royals...

It's even ok if you aren't. I hear it all the time. It's all good. Yeah I'm a proud and loyal Royals and Chiefs fan. Since I've been alive the Royals have had 2, count 'em 2 winning seasons. 2/20 ain't bad right? Oh... and I was only 4 y/o for one of em.

I miss Mr. K and I never knew Royals baseball when he was alive. Shame

Well, there was one nice thing about going to a KC game.

It was mid-season - late June, as I recall - and in spite of the strange looks I got from the locals, I kept telling them that I was going to go to the game that night.

It's about the only major league ballpark where you could arrive 30 minutes before game time, park within 100 yards of the main gate (home plate), and pay about $42 for box seat 5 rows behind home plate - without having to buy the ticket in advance. That's right- I walked up to the ticket office and bought the ticket on the spot.

The weird thing was realizing that they were turnnig off the lights and the ushers were chasing me out within 10 minutes of the final out. Gotta save money everywhere they can, I guess....

Haha....I know, I got into a Yankees game thanks to a friend of mine who was a student at the time. Got in for $15, started off in the nose bleed, and by the 3rd inning were sitting right up the third base line. I love it.

That's what we did tonight against the BoSox.

We're were in the 30,000 ft. seats and in the 4th inning when all the ushers relax, we got right on the first base line. It was sweet.
