Yep. OBR 6.07a: A batter shall be called out, on appeal, when he fails to bat in his proper turn, and another batter completes a time at bat in his place.

10 is the correct answer. The reason I asked was to show that you can do multiple appeals at mutiple bases on the same play.

My internet access went south on me yesterday. I am currently on my neighbor's router. I am waiting for my overnighted router to arrive. I assumed, incorrectly evidently, that when they overnight something it would arrive the next day. Now I am hoping it appears tomorrow.

The question in context was how many missed base appeals could be made, not how many appeals.

Note that the person that posed the question as a challenge also says the answer is 10.

The strange ones come in bunches sometimes. Last month I had Two Infield flies in back to back games, could go the better part of a season and give the sign 3,000 times and never have to call it.

I once had 4 IFF in one game... Every time we had the possible situation, we had an IFF... And they were all very legitimate - none of them were even questionable.
