side note......Mike Shields (one of the owners) was picked for the 2011 NCAA D1 Super Regionals.......great guy, great umpire....great place to do business.....

I'd take the Wilson charcoal over the davishield in a heartbeat. Can't beat the the Wilson hardshells. I have no experience with the davishield,but based on what I've read and heard,i'd go with the Wilson charcoal! That's a good price as well!

i use the charcol up through high school and LOVE it - absolutely no compliants and thats a good price...i paid $40 used

I have actually seen this protector.....take Kyles advice and skip the davis shield if you do anything over softball or kid rec ball......Im not trying to put down the product, but ive taken too many shots from youth to adult ball to settle or reccommned anything less than a hardshell.......I wear the Plat....
