Has anyone ever done an "All-Star" game and ejected a either a player or coach? I'm think I should of done it last night and I am kicking myself in the @$$ this morning for it. :agasp_:

BTW, I know don't give the rat his cheese but it was an "all-star" game for christ sake. :wow::WTF

If its worth an EJ its worth an EJ regardless of it being an all-star event.

Last year I had an ejection in a LL Jrs game and after the game the coach who wasn't ejected came up to me and asked if I could not report it. I told him I couldn't do that. He told me with that coach being ejected he would now have to coach the all star team because he is the only coach not to be ejected and he really didn't want to coach all stars. He didn't have a kid playing in the Jrs level, is on the board, and only volunteered because they had more kids than coaches and didn't want to see kids be turned away from playing.

We talked for a while and he laughed when I told him "Looks like you're going to have to find a way to get ejected in your next game." He said the thought has crossed his mind, but being on the board he couldn't do that.

Wow. Usually, these are sedate at best. However, I agree with this board (the people here) and if he needs to go then throw his $ss to the wind....no pun intended. Don't regret it.:wow:

I've tossed out coaches at scrimmages.....

Now, I have done that!!!:wow: I see it as a way for me to practice also.

The "best" part of last night beside the two coaches jawing at each other about what had transpired over the year. Was when one coach couldn't understand why I put R1 on 3rd when the pitcher after receiving the ball back from the catcher and well off his plate threw the ball away when he attempted to get R1 at first. "The runner was going back to first (the base he was going to) plus one, right?" SOB thought he was going to actually win the argument. :agasp_::WTF

I went into a rules clinic right on the field. I figure these "All-Stars" should at least understand the rules on overthrows.

What type of All-Star game was it (MLB style exibition or post-regular season Tournament All-Star (LL type)?

Despite that, if they run themselves then they run themselves!

Yep, have tossed LL All-Star coaches numerous times. Most are no problem, but now and then, you'll get a guy that likes to scream and yell at everybody on the field, argues with every call, and basically behaves in a manner that says "please toss me". When that happens - I'm ready, willing and able to oblige!

I tossed one coach, and 4 parents from a 10u regional tournament last year. The coach for arguing a judgement call, and wouldn't let it go, even dropping the "tie goes to the runner" line during the argument. 2 of the parents were tossed for coming on to the field, then giving me grief when I asked their coach to get them off the field, among other things. The other 2 were being all around disruptive to their kids, but when they decided to take aim at my partner and I, enough was enough. The state commissioner allowed the coach back after a 1 game suspension, but he also observed the parents behavior, and was in complete agreement with what I did, and banned the parents from the property, so they had to watch the rest of the tourney from the street.

Since I started this post... I remember talking to a guy in college (Baldwin-Wallace), we were dorm mates, who played in a Eastern OH/ Western PA High School Football All-star game and he got tossed for fighting. He was playing Center and the Def. Tackle punched him in his happy sack. So he returned the favor and also clip the guy at the knees. He said the next thing is he's rolling around on the ground swinging at this guy. It was also the first time he met his girl friend at the time parents. :agasp_::question1:

So I guess I just answered my own question but thanks for the input.

Actually, for me..it would be easier to eject someone at an all-star game, guessing this is an exhibition game. Score doesn't count the next day and ejections don't count the next day, at least in OHSAA, nothing in the W-L-T column = no sitting out two games.

Plus in an all-star game, whoever got ejected usually really deserves it.

I tossed HC last month in the County HS Championship game. Close play at plate, he said that's the worst fu*&^g call i've seen all year!

Sweet revenge was the following day a pic taken by a freelance photographer was posted on the internet. Shows catcher with the ball, tag on runner and foot 6" from home plate!
