You have got to be kidding....? :wow:

My Since f2 decided to engage (I assume) up the line to tag b3 you would have a "no call" sit until the play at home has come to be, but I too am curious to see other posts.

Yes they do!, yes they will, and yes they are....

This is my #2 pick!!!! Is it wrong that I am seriously addicted to this vid???? I laughed for about a month straight at the Earl Weaver ejection that Nate posted last season.

absolutely, +1 Jax I know you have already responded, but still... just wanted to second good advice.

I see nothing in the op that refers to a stop in and between the stretch and bringing the hands together. What I am reading is that f1 is coming to set feet first, hands second, no pause between = no balk. I have read nothing in fed that states that f1 must come to set with his legs and arms simutaneously, only that it must be a continuous motion. So what is the difference whether f1 brings everything together all at once, feet followed by hands, or vice versa?

This could have been twice as nice if your partner would have been wearing one of those "BIG PINK" wristband on his hook arm while bringing it from the hip!
-
Oddly enough not the most painful, but definately the most "colorful" (I mentioned on another thread) was a 2 month bruising roughly the shape of my cup after getting hit twice in the same inning.

No way.... 1. "Threeeee, batters out!" (exit stage left) has me rolling every night.
-
Same here, but... Please tell me that you literally didn't refer to a coachmanager at any level as "Dude"?
-
If this guy was Mstaylor's "Captain America" ... well just visualize it! OUTSTANDING :big_no

I personally would be hard pressed to gig f1 on this.

At my boys game tonight here is the sit, (using obr terms) r1 and r3, f1 in the stretch comes set and r1 takes off on a delayed steal. f1 steps off the rubber and starts to run at r1. oc starts yelling "balk, balk, thats a balk", no call is made and end result is r1 is called out going into second. oc approaches the uic and states that f1 turned his back shoulder while looking to see what everyone was yelling about when he heard "He's going!" before stepping off the rubber. I didn't see this but I was not really paying attention though. Now, two situational questions 1. If infact f1 while in the set position did turn his back shoulder while looking over it towards 1st base to see what all the hoop-la was about before stepping off, this would be killed and a balk would be issued, yes? 2. If f1 did work his mechanics right, steps off the mound and the oc starts yelling "balk, balk, balk" and contunues during the course of insuing aciton, could this be called interferance from the bench? I don't think so but... I know for a fact that this is a designed play (my boys team) to try and create a balk (most desirable) or at least a rundown between 1st2nd (second most desirable). The part I am not sure on is... Is there a interference for the fact that not only do the coaches start yelling balk but the whole bench does (by design)... after, and always after f1 has stepped off the rubber, trying to influence the umps to kill the play. P.S. yes, bring on the "chicken coop" jokes

In the jackets did you guys scroll down far enough to see the Diamond "fleece" jacket. I may pick one up for me personally but I was wondering what ever happend to the actual navy blue "striped" fleece pull-overs with the zip up front. Do they not make these any more? Are the new ones more of a wind breaker than a jacket?

Sorry to re-post but after reading the article again and getting pi$$ed at this particular little gem of a quote: "You have to possess some of the thickest skin on Earth in order to be successful at the job." article I have to wonder if he ever gave a thought to the fact that articles like his may, I don't know... exasperate the need for thick skin on our part, at all levels!!! We have to eat enough crow and now that a MLB professional is not good enough what chance does "Joe part-timer" have , but remember he is a "friend" of the man in blue folks as he is not one to complain...most the time. Hey Doogie, how do you spell "TOOL?"

Yes, thank you Pete Again, thank you Pete I doubt I would ever vocalize every call during the game, in all fairness that is just how it is done where I work.
-
This is what I have been screaming at the screen since I read the op. My take, no balk
-
I don't think I would ever say somthing like this, If I see the same play again I am getting the same result whether it works to his favor or not.

Worked a game tonight, this is the sit r2 (yes Mazz, I am trying to use obr abbriviations LOL) b2 hits a routine grounder to f6 who looks back r2 and throws to f3. f3 gets pulled up the line by the throw and has his glove knocked off by br who traveled in a straight line to 1st base after making the stretchcatch to put out the br. This may have prevented a play on r2 who made his advanced to 3rd "as soon as the throw was made" to 1st from f6... not after the glove was knocked off. Is there anything here, As bu I had a no call.

just drill him in the back next time!

This is "Men's League" language! Definately not LLPonyCR etc. language. Toss him, or talk to him, I am not sure but I know this... if this is "barked" out by a manager during one of my Hometalent (men's league) games, I am definatly in for a long night of... plunkings, hard tags, and spike filled dp break-ups! -
Check out this thread "Legal pick-off?" under the Rules catagory I had the same question several months ago and got great info from the guys here. My question was proposed as a fed ruled game, not sure if yours is?
-
Is this even possible? Agree, I got nothing
