The adjective "your" sticks whatever noun it describes to the person being addressed. The adjective "your" makes the noun (judgment, zone, positioning, hustle, rules knowledge, uniform, shoe shine, looks, weight, haircut, race, color and/or creed) personal. If "your" were attached to a compliment, would you not feel obliged to thank the speaker? Likewise, if "your" were attached to a complaint, would you not feel obliged to toss him?

Some of you may be around long enough to someday enforce new rules dealing with RPVs hovering around the participants and listening in on trips.

Shoot me if I'm hijacking... Your plate man just banged out the batter on strike three to end the inning. He turns and heads up the 3B line away from the batter's 1st base dugout. D3 league series game hosted by soon-to-be World Series champions. Nice park; a lot nicer now since they have grasped the "golden ring." They have a baseball savvy coaching staff, of which one assistant was a very good umpire with whom I had umpired many times in Am. Legion games and assorted tourneys. And, the assistant's father, himself a D1 umpiring local legend, was in the stands, locker room rumor being he was observing our crew. And, if that weren't enough, the game was being broadcast by some local cable network whose "experts" were in the overhead press box and everything being said was clearly heard inside the circle. Naturally, my dish. Late in this particular game, visitors had the tying run on 3d. HC moves either a middle infielder or an outfielder in behind home and back by the fence to field any errant pitch by his slippery reliever. Of course the game wouldn't proceed until D's fielder returned to fair ball territory, but I confess it took a second or two to decipher what was going on and a couple more minutes to get things going again. No balks, no EJs, not a lot of on-field dialogue, but plenty of eye-rolls and friendly banter that night at the Inn.

I'm classifying an extra baseball in LBT the same as team equipment, it should be under control or in DBT. I see them often near the on-deck hitter waiting to be returned to the plate man. NFHS 1-3-7 applies.

That's the problem. The OP isn't covered in the plain language of the rules. NFHS provides umpires with these two definitions that adequately cover the OP for me, at least: 2-16-1d. and 5-1-1d.2.

I have no problems making quotes on other forums. I'm probably just over-thinking it. I need to get my nine year-old grandkid in here to 'splain it to me.

The correlation is: in another life, I used to deal with a lot of switches, dials, thumbwheels, levers, lights and indicators; usually without incident. Now, in this life, I move my cursor to "quote," right click the mouse, and...nothing. Others quote posts, but I, techie that I am, cannot.

(Regrets, I was just trying to get something to allow me to quote previous posts. I used to fly CH47s and now I'm befuddled by a keyboard and a mouse.)

Was this an NFHS game? If you thought he requested time to talk to his batter, did the batter go up the line to meet him or did the coach come all the way to the circle?

Are we discussing NFHS rules, or just those used in Florida? Neither my 2015 edition in hand nor the online version on the NFHS Website read like the OP. Did I not get the memo?

Perhaps I won't see it n the seasons I have left to umpire, but I predict that someday the DOJ will impose its will upon sports officials in the U.S. to wear body cameras. Just joking...or am I?

To go "full circle," the OP's diametric question would be, has any high school coaches' group (league, district, state) ever surveyed its [umpires] to get their feedback as to what they would like to see improved upon by the [people coaching] in their games?"
