1. No, they brought it to me for perusal between games at the league tournament. End result, he was wrong. I have no problem if a manager wants to discuss it between games or at another game. I happen to be on the board of the league so I have more than one hat.
2. c and d for Fed
3. Long story but essentially two balks for a QP and a tossed coach during the second batter. In a conversation later the manager asked why he was always on the short end of a rules question. Then he said he would have his asst show me at the next game where I was wrong. They were both wrong and just as clueless about the rules. Blind leading the blind

B or C

Which means three manuals,PBUC and MidAmUmp all agree, and then there's Mike.

Sent from my C771 using Tapatalk 2

5. What a player be restricted for? Too many believe he can be restricted as a warning instead of tossing, when actually it is only for illegal sub.
6. I mean to say wouldn't be shocked. Essentially a double negative meaning they probably have both.

I take no offense Haid, I do it because it seems logical to me, certainly not because I am lazy. But as I said above, PBUC confirmed C. Maybe MidAm will see this and weigh in.

B or C

Agreed with staying with standard mechanics. I confirmed PBUC wants C. I still like B but that is not what the manuals say. It has been my experience that many high level clinics teach B, but WTH. When I teach it locally I tell them exactly that, C is the commonly taught position, I prefer B but do what is comfortable.
9. Leagues that insist on one man garner no respect from me. Insisting on being behind the mound is lunacy and means they are run by guys with no clue or respect for what we do. It is also a league I will not work for, period. I called a couple of scrimmages from the mound when I was coaching. You have absolutely no clue on balls and strikes, no clue on many HBPs and absolutely no look at fair/foul. It sure gives you a good look at the steal at second. MORONS! I would be shocked if the same leagues don't have must slides and balk warnings.
10. I think this has run it's course.

B or C

I would rather take a pick to third from B. However, any catcher throwing behind a runner at third with bases loaded better be damn good or is stupid.
16. Call a local high school or college and find out who assigns them

The statement made, according to the player, only makes sense as a retort, not an out of left field remark. It doesn't make it right to make personal remarks to players. As the saying goes," You don't start nothin', won't be nothin'!"

Because it is what has been taught in almost every clinic I have ever attended. Where is the most likely play on a double play ball? Home and first, or the base closest to the fielder and first. Either way first is the tough call, why wouldn't you want to start on that side. What is the likelihood of a triple steal? .001%. B it is. 60 ft I would say C, easier to see all the important runners.
20. Feel free to post questions and situations. As far as finding umpires, talk to local HS or college umpires and see who supplies guys in your area. Remember that backing your umpires is extremely important. Do not assume they are blameless but also don't assume they are always wrong. I help run a NABF league so I have a lot of experience. PM me if you have questions.

And as far as I am concerned,B with bases loaded. Locally I teach B but tell them it is optional.

Sent from my C771 using Tapatalk 2

Player keeps his mouth shut , then so does the official. Should the official make derogatory remarks to the player, but if the player shuts his mouth, problem fixed. Now, if this official has a habit of using inappropriate language, his white needs to take care of it. Now if the player thought the official was out of line then he should go to his head coach, head coach goes to white hat. No need to involve the league at all. Now unfortunately the player plays one of the worse and dumbest coaches in football so who knows.
23. All I can say is good luck.
24. Where do coaches get these bizarre rulings. It's good to come here to get clarification but wow.

Sounds like both parties are wrong, but the football field, especially at the pro level, is another world. The language is generally courser in all circumstances.
