Question

Runners on 2nd and 3rd, one out,  line drive to right center, center fielder makes a diving grab. Runner on third tags up and is faster than the runner on second who gets doubled-up after the other runner crosses home plate. Does the run score?

If the defense already records the third out via an appeal at second base, they can record an advantageous fourth out if the runner on third left early and it was appealed correctly.

The OP reports that R3 "tags up." No fourth out appeal should be granted.

I know... I said if the runner left early...

That would be a different play. We could change the play in thousands of ways and generate thousands of posts that don't answer the question posed by the OP. Sometimes an analogy can help illuminate an explanation, but again focus is key.

Hey Guest Patrick, here's an instance of an incredibly similar play happening in which the umpires got the call right.
