watch the base coach pointing too second base and telling the runner as the runner picks up the loose ball so to speak and makes the juke move. what did gary darling say once about a crew mates call on this--"i've called it for less".

and 08, how come we have a plethora of MLB calls to put up here, and only about 21 under the collegiate area and there are 300 D1 teams and many more d2 and d3 to help us out with learning about umpiring with a plethora of examples.

I think it's the play that matters, not the level. CI is CI as long as we have a clip to learn from.  That being said, some folks get really caught up on "I only work NFHS so I want to see NFHS plays" I don't necessarily agree. 

Multiple camera angles vs just high home...and probably most important, it's much, much easier to find the plays. 

I have a lot of access to a variety of video, but my capacity to hunt is finite.

Additionally, the production and camera person work is much better on national broadcast (MLB, CWS,LLWS). Many of the lower levels simply don't capture the relevant action.

Also, with lower level plays, we're often learning what not to do from the umpire mechanics vs MLB umps being so good so often that we can use their actions and calls as a positive reference point (not to mention it helps focus on the play vs umpire criticism).

Amen!

You will see the same goofy plays in any game at any level in any country.  Knowing how to apply your rules to it is a different story.  Watch and learn from everything, hone your craft to your task.
