Hi guys, anyone know what upro 13 means or what is this CP or customization? I am stomped, I seen some MLB guys with them. Thanks for the help.

It’s an all American CP. Or a vsport. Basically the same CP

… which means it’s pre-Wilson Patent C&D Letter. Riddell, All-American, Douglas… each manufacturer that was producing a CP similar to the Wilson Gold and was a rival of Wilson’s in the football gear arena was conjoined on that letter. Riddell and All-American thereby abandoned baseball, and Douglas made it absolutely clear that their CP was in no way similar to Wilson’s – thus, their carapace plates attach to the pad with faced velcro, and not the Patent -violating anchor tabs.

This is the point that the whole infestation started. Baseball gear – at least umpire gear – was made in the States, and was well-made, in small batches. Then, like many, many other industries, it was (all, nearly) taken to China and produced en masse…

… and the soul’n’spirit was sucked out of it.

Rip ( @The Ripper), that UPro13 is likely older than you!

I'm still holding on to my All American with a death grip! Lol

Heck... maybe now with the new retrofit padding ideas out there, I can get it looking really nice!
