I'm going to San Bernardino for week long umpire camp (which I'm hearing rumor may be the last one offered). Any one have advice and/or questions they're curious for me to ask the Western Regional teaching staff?

I went to that clinic in 2016.  Can't imagine that they will stop doing these!  It's the best one on the country, IMO.  Maybe it's the last one offered this year.  They used to have only one per year, then they added one.  Then they specialized 90' and 60'.  So please find out what the real story is.  These clinics are great experiences, and your skills will really improve.

Recently they've been doing two a year, Feb and Nov. My district UIC said it's liability concerns rippling out from the Utah kid who fell out of the bunk at the WS a few years ago. Apparently LL put all WS players up in hotels last year. San Bernardino has barracks for the teams - which is where we stay for the week. Shutting those down may lead them to drop the week long for shorter camps (seems West Region and Williamsport are the the only place that do week longs in the first place?).

Just for clarification, players still stayed in the Grove this past year. They removed all bunk beds from the dorms.
