It's somewhat Carlucci-esque, insofar CeCe would fabricate something like this, from scratch, if the customer needs and work-type warranted it. A washboard actually made sense back then; they just didn't have the advanced foam laminates, lightweight HDPEs and stalwart breathable fabrics they do now. Despite the modern materials, there are still producers who stubbornly refuse to embrace progress and development, all in the pursuit of mass production and corporate profit margins. Vietnam is actually very well-known for bespoke fashion items, able to rapidly make haut couture dresses and suits of superb quality and craftsmanship all to perfect, measured fit. They rival some of the best seamstresses and tailors of Italy and France!  

This isn't one of those pieces, though.
