2 man umpire system , calling fair/foul

right handed batter, 18u, not that it really matters, but makes a bit harder (bigger taller, harder the ball is hit).   Batter hits a screaming line drive down the line.  What mechanic can help you if any?

If you are tracking the pitch properly, your eyes will automatically move with the ball when it's hit. (and if they don't , you are not properly tracking the pitch, no matter what you might think).

If the batter hit;s the ball hard, as you suggest, the batter "beat" the pitcher -- benefit of the doubt to the batter.

Maybe.  You should be far enough behind the batter see down the line (not straight down the line, but certainly well before third base)

If you’re tracking you’re seeing the ball hit the bat and it shouldn’t be hard to see the ball as it passes 3rd or first. Sometimes, iff you're screened or it’s super close,   you can gain a clue from the body language of the fielder. Most coaches don’t give good clues because they’re pointing fair even when it’s obviously foul by several feet.
