What did you get Mazz? And please be sure to post a review once you get it broken in.

I got a brand new Douglas vest...wow this thing is great, I did have a game today and 4 college games this weekend, but mother nature wanted to ruin my plans. I will do a review...

Good news is with shipping I paid 118. not to bad..I know a lot of Milb, and MLB guys still h ave these around. It comes with a lifetime guarantee. I can send it in and pay 45 bucks and they will completely remodel it, new pads, new rivets, new straps..

On the 2nd photo I tried to show how the pads go over your shoulders for more collarbone protection

Mazz..

I have one just like it that I have used for years. I have tried on WV Gold, Platinum, Original, etc. but nothing feels nearly as good as my Douglas. I have found one spot where you can feel a hit. There is a spot in the crease at the shoulder where you can feel it, but not too bad. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine.

I like the looks of solid plastic protection. But it also looks like that protector would get HOT. Is it?

I still have my (self improved) POS BB2000 in service and it gets warm in it up here in these mtns. I have a ice pack shirt that allows me to stuff cryo-blankets (product name) inside it to help..

I loved the fit and protection of the BB2000, but had to dump it due to the heat retention.......what a furnace..........I have worn the douglas when I was evaluation my new CP choices ....the heat retention is similar to the WV Plat which I bought to replace my K1.....which is very moderate.......

I ordered one from Jeff at Douglas for my stepson. Should have it in the next week or two. I told my kid I'm going to take it for a test drive before he gets it though.

Received the protector last week from Douglas. It was $100.00 plus $6.00 tax, and $14.00 shipping, for a total of $120.00. It is a high quality product, and appears to offer great protection, especially in the collarbone area. I fitted it on my stepson, got the straps all adjusted, and he is going to be using it for the first time tonight. I have no worries that he will be very protected using this CP.

I called and they don't have anymore materials to make them. Instead I got myself a WV Gold and I'm happier than ever.
