So, summer ball has officially begun, and we come across both Jr. and Sr. AmLegion teams who enter tournaments where FED is the basic rules set. 

I've called Legion Ball for over ten years, but suddenly, this year every team seems to bring a "General Manager," and a "Field Manager (Head Coach), and up to 3 or 4 more Asst. Coaches.

When playing by FED rules, is the GM treated as an Asst. Coach?  He rarely steps on the field, and the HC does run the game, but I had a GM ago off on me about my zone in the final inning of a game. 

I restricted him and gave him the same talk I would give an AC in HS.  The problem is, he supposedly outranks the Head Coach 

Who is ultimately responsible for the behavior of the coaches, players, and parents in an AmLegion game with all these stooges present?

Any input would be appreciated.

Who comes out for the line-up exchange and ground rules? IF the GM is in uniform, I don't care about his title or his rank in the pecking order--as far as I'm concerned, he is an AC in the game. The HC is responsible. Why wouldn't he be? 

FWIW, the PA AL Guide & Rules limits the coaching staff to three certified adults.

Ask at the plate meeting who is the official team rep for the game - treat the rest like an assistant.

Tell them, only 1 of them can be the rep. let them fight it out.

There's no such thing as a "GM" in the rules, so it doesn't matter for the game.

 

What the team does on their own time is of no concern to me.

Legion uses modified OBR, not FED.

NCAA FPSR and Collision rules,  BBCOR non-wood bats, double ear flap batter's helmets,  pitching limits, to name the basic mods.
