Finally.

A little transparency here. No need to hide it.

Looks like a 'AAA rook' will almost get $100 per game at 2900 per month or $96.66 per game, up from 86.66 per game along with a room and a $58 per diem. That would be $2,900 with no room and no per diem in the old days. Room and per diem would be paid for by the umpire out of the umpires regular $2,900 salary for 30 days.

That compares with a Big 12 Conference game (3 game weekend) fee of $550 per game ($1,650 for the 3 game set) along with a room and $40 per day per diem and non conference Tuesday and Wednesday at $550 and a room, but no per day per diem.

or (**added the below comparison on 4/6/17**)

$2,750 per week=$12,100 per month for 22 games (Mondays and Thursdays off), or $16,500 working 30 games (like MiLB) worth of Big 12 Conference and non Conference games per month, versus $2,900 per month for AAA rookie and 30 games per month, or $77,000 in the Big 12 if one could work 140 games like a AAA rookie umpire, who earns about  $13,600 for the 140 game season.

**Added below 4/6-8/17 as games were played on opening day/night or made up the next day or two due to rainouts.**

2017 MiLB umpires by crew opening day/night as the case may be. (could easily be local unknown (to me) non MiLB/local fill ins used in some cases).

Do they get health benefits in MiLB other than work comp?

That would make a huge difference w/ respect to potential costs due to an injury.  Get injured in NCAA...you're on your own. The money in D1 NCAA is much, much better along w/ the travel.  No doubt about it.

I can't speak definitively on this but I seem to recall in speaking to someone that they do. If I'm incorrect someone please correct me on this.
