Just bought these, I hope they don't suck!!  read reviews on  Amazon and Ump attire and mostly were good, I didn't see any reviews on here.   It was between these and the New NB shoes. But decided to go with these because I do a majority of the games on all dirt infield and it appears the clean up is much better.

Had them for one whole season. Great shoe for when they were 100% functional. Towards the end of season one I had a hole begin to develop on the outside of the shoe close to the pinky toe. Probably from strain when making quick movements and/or HOK position.

Had a pair of these  in plate shoes once & was in love with them until the point that I took a direct hit on the toe cup on a foul ball in a Men's league game.  Must have hit toe cup just right or something but damn near broke my middle toe.  It was at this point I realized the toe cup was apparently plastic as i had to take shoe off to pop the dent out.  I couldn't give them away fast enough.  I wouldn't risk that again for anything over 12U in these but that's just my experience.

How hard is it to clean a pair of shoes?

Not very hard but when all of the shoe full leather, in theory it's much easier to keep clean. Instead of material that soaks up dirt.

I work most of my games in a desert so mine dry off very quick. I basically spray them off once in awhile and use a nylon brush and soapy water when needed.  I think you should pay the extra for the quality and support a shoe gives you and then clean them well when needed.  I just know that NB base shoes have always been a great shoe for me and easy to take care of.
