Auto Quote

Will you PLEASE turn off that D^%* auto-quote and combine quotes "feature".  It doesn't do what I want to do - like respond to each thing separately or just add an entry at the end of the thread. 

I'm trying to respond in general in "Interference or nothing ..?  and the software insists on including a Maven quote.

NOW I'm trying to replay to a post and it's repeating a previous reply rather than quoting the current one and only letting me add to the previous reply.

SO I tried just replying to the thread - same result.

Get this a lot too. Does it confine you to the box, so everything you type is quoted?

It even assumes a new reply to a different post is just a continuation of a prior reply. REALLY pisses me off. How can I reply to "Joe" when it thinks I'm still replying to "Sam"?

try using cntl-z (repeatedly) to erase previously entered quotes...it has (not always) worked for me.

In the reply box, I "select all," then delete. Clears the entire box.
