Runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. Fly ball to right field, ball is caught in air for 2nd out. Runner on 3rd tags up, runner on 2nd doesn't. Runner from 3rd crosses home plate before the force at 2nd occurs to end inning. Run count or no?

And to add to the above correct answers -- it's a common misconception that anytime a base is touched to record an out, this is a force play.  In fact, a force play is when a runner is FORCED to leave his base because the batter became a runner.  In this play, since the batter was out, and there was no R1, the runner was not forced.

You can get an appeal out by tagging the runner or the base.  You can get a force out by tagging the runner or the base.  An appeal out can be a force out (but an appeal for failing to "tag up" can NEVER be a force out).

Also, for argument sake, the R2 and R3 neither tagged up, but they got the out on R2 after R3 crossed the plate.  Unless they appeal R3 not tagging up before they leave the field, R3 scores.

they can also appeal R3 as the famous advantageous "4th out" after getting the appeal of R2 as the third out.
