HPU in TN/KY game seems to have good positioning behind the plate, a consistent zone, really good timing, and is communicating with the catchers and batters. He isn't overly demonstrative and looks likes he belongs there.

And in the bottom of the 3rd he rotated in front of home plate to stay in the wedge on a play at the plate!

Glad to see it!

Kevin he should be a good umpire... he works Div .1 NCAA baseball and a great, great guy!

I'm pretty sure the purpose of 6-man at Williamsport is to give more volunteers a chance to be on TV.

You beat me too it. Gary is an exceptional umpire. Works D1 as you said and instructs at the Black and Blue Clinic. Those other umpires were lucky to work with him.
