In two man that depends on who U1 is, PU or BU. notations differ. But BU has all touches and tags at 1B and 2B.

In 2 man sometimes something gets missed. When you are in B or C and there is a trouble ball in the V, you need to stay with the ball as long as you need to, and you might not get a chance to glance at 1st.

So what if its a double in the V, PU sees BR miss 1B while BU stays with the catch/no-catch and the defense appeals the missed touch at 1B. Who rules on the appeal ?

Appeal would come to the BU first, he knows he didn't see it, so ask PU if he had it?

By "rule", BU has it.  A good PU will help you, though.

When it's apparent that the defense will appeal, the umpires should make eye contact, and one of the should indicate who will rule (usually by placing an open hand on the chest).  In this instance, PU should take it.
