I joined a few days ago because I had a specific question to ask, and have been reading lots of forums since and learning lots.

 

I coached my kids' rec-league teams until they got too old. My oldest started umpiring for the younger kids, but was too young to drive himself, so I would drive him to (very basic) clinics. That got me interested, so when I stopped coaching, I started umpiring. That was about 5 years ago. I enjoyed it enough that last year I registered for high school.

Hehe. Not a problem. I live in the thriving metropolis of Westmoreland. It might be more helpful to say that my day job is at the main campus of K-State.
