To be clear, Hirschbeck says he is the classiest he has been around.  That doesn't make him classy, just the most polished turd.

No denying Jeter's been a class act. The one thing he "gave" the game that I wish he would take with him when he leaves is that damn hand in my face thinking he has time when he gets in the box. For all of Jeter's great characteristics, manners, attitude, etc....Why does the hand up have to be the most copied trait by kids from one end of the country to the other?

No denying Jeter's been a class act. The one thing he "gave" the game that I wish he would take with him when he leaves is that damn hand in my face thinking he has time when he gets in the box. For all of Jeter's great characteristics, manners, attitude, etc....Why does the hand up have to be the most copied trait by kids from one end of the country to the other?  

 

Give him a break.  He's been waiting 20 years for that high-five, and still has yet to get one.

Gotta love it when the younger kids get in the box with the hand up just staring at me and wanting me to acknowledge the hand...the pitcher could be tying his shoe behind the mound

Even worse is when they get in the box with their forward hand up, thinking they are telling the pitcher to hold up.  I laugh every time.
