The Mid-American Umpire Clinic is expanding!  We will be adding 2 new Mid-American Umpire Clinics to our family.  By doing this we will be offering appropriate educational training to meet all umpires personal goals regardless of their level of experience.

 

The Mid-American Umpire Clinic-Tulsa will be an "Umpiring 101" clinic for brand new umpires or youth level umpires looking to work their way into high school baseball (or 90' fields).  This clinic is still in the planning stages, but we anticipate it to be in October in the Tulsa metro area.

 

The Mid-American Umpire Clinic is our "original clinic" designed for current high school umpires looking to move into college baseball or better their career at their current level.

Dates: September 4-7

Location: Springfield, MO - Ramada Plaza Hotel & Oasis Convention Center

Cost: $200.00 - $25 discount for Umpire-Empire Premium Members

 

The Mid-American Umpire Clinic-Kansas City will be an introductory 3-umpire system clinic designed for entry level college umpires to teach them the correct 3-umpire system to assist them in advancing to the NCAA Division II level or lower level college post-season.  4-time CWS umpire Jeff Henrichs will be the Chief Instructor.  We will walk umpires through the CCA 3-umpire system, providing extensive training to help you understand the proper 3-umpire mechanics.  This is the former Topeka Premier Umpire Clinic.

Dates: September 19-21

Location: Kansas City, KS - Legends Entertainment Area

Cost: $300 - $25 discount for Umpire-Empire Premium Members

 

The Mid-American Advanced Umpire Clinic is designed to provide college umpires with the skills and attitude necessary to advance their careers to the NCAA Division I level.  Since it's inception, numerous students have been hired by several D-I conferences including the Mid-American, Horizon, Missouri Valley, Atlantic 10, Big 10, Conference USA, Big East and the Big Twelve.

Dates: September 11-14

Location: Springfield, MO - Ramada Plaza Hotel & Oasis Convention Center

Cost: $400.00

I've been to Topeka clinic twice. Mid-America Advanced clinic once. Great set of instructors and fantastic facilities at both Topeka and Springfield.

The move from Topeka to KC is a good idea.

You guys make plans to come out/down/over to KC and see Jason and his instructors. I will probably be there as a student unless work sends me somewhere.

You will love the area. The Legends complex is an amazing entertainment venue. Nascar speedway. Beautiful MLS soccer stadium. Minor league baseball stadium. Dozens of restaurants. Outlet shopping including UnderArmour, Nike and Adidas outlets. Great place. Make plans today.

I've been wanting to attend the clinic in Springfield the last couple of years.  With a wife in the middle of her high school volleyball season and two young children I've been unable to make it happen.  My parents live 10 minutes from The Legends complex in Bonner Springs.  I guess I have no excuse for not attending the KC clinic this year.  Built in child-care with the grandparents and a free place to stay for me.

Yep.  She's been at the same school for the last 12 years.  They are making her come back again next year.  Maybe someday she'll get to graduate.

I'm thinking seriously about signing up for the Mid American Clinic in Springfield. I have only been to clinics in state so it would be my first major clinic out of state.

 

I'll have to see if anyone else in my area or association is considering going. I will most likely drive it. The flights are more expensive than I thought.

 

Any additional thoughts or info you can give MidAmUmp?

You can always fly into Kansas City.  I have several instructors/campers from there and they could pick you up and drop you off.

 

Get a group together and we give association discounts for 4 or more.

The mid American clinics are great, and if you cannot learn something there.. you have problems. I have attended the 3 man twice and it was fantastic.
