I was browsing through the MLBU Media Guide and I saw an ad for X-Temp, apparently a company similar to the now defunct Rite Temp athletics.

Thanks to JaxRolo I am the proud owner of a Ritetemp cooling pad but I routinely work more than one plate in some extremely hot weather and I am searching for a similar product.

If you look at the ad, you'll see they have a MiLB medical guy talking about X-Temp products being used for umpires but I have yet to find a product that seems specifically designed for umpire usage. I will try to contact them to see if I can find out if they have a specific product for umpires.

They had this product at TUS this year. They were talking about using it as a post game cooling system. They would keep the vest and and the seat cover in the locker room so after someone finished a plate job they could use it to cool down quicker.

I have a three step cool down process.

1.  Remove equipment and clothing.

2.  Water-Cold

3.  Beer- Cold!  (Most important step)

Just sayin'!

They should have a product to the public next year. I'm a rep for their Sports Medicine line.

Do you use that after the game or during? If they had something for under the vest for those 100+ 4-5 game days, that would be amazing! More than once I've almost gone down to heat and in one day at a tournament we had 12 go down to heat.
