Got word yesterday that I have been assigned my first HS playoff game.  Nothing like hitting the big time right out of the gate as I will be on the dish for a Division 1 game (3 man mechanics) tomorrow.

I know my comment probably came across a little wrong. Steve earned himself his playoff spot. We used 4 people total with Steve's rating. 2 of them worked a Division 4 Wild Card game today, 1 is worki

Thanks for the positive thoughts.  The game went off without a hitch.  5-4 home team in just over 2 hours which was pretty fast considering it was 4-3 after the first inning which took about 40 minute

I know my comment probably came across a little wrong. Steve earned himself his playoff spot. We used 4 people total with Steve's rating. 2 of them worked a Division 4 Wild Card game today, 1 is working a Division 6 game on Thursday. And Steve is working a Division 1 Wild Card Game tomorrow.  Usually we do not ever use these guys on a Division 1 game. But we had to shuffle the crews around and when we did I was able to convince the Playoff Committee to move Steve up to the Division 1 game. I believe he is miss rated. And I also convinced our Vice President to watch him work so when Ratings come up in November, they can give him a bump he rightly deserves.

Thanks for the positive thoughts.  The game went off without a hitch.  5-4 home team in just over 2 hours which was pretty fast considering it was 4-3 after the first inning which took about 40 minutes.  Both F1's then settled in.  Didn't miss any rotations and the game ended on a great diving catch by F9 on the RF line.

 

It was a great experience.
