I take some of the responsibility here - I did say the post was for fun.  You give a lot of these guys an inch and they'll claim it's eight. 

 

With what I've pieced together, it's basically down to a Douglas stock or Wilson retrofitted.  Have any of the self-proclaimed gear pimps seen both to compare them side by side?

It really depends on your build. I think a retro Platinum would fit a broad shouldered fellow best.

 

The Gold may be better for "normal" folks, then the Douglas, with the added shoulder protection.

 

Again, a lot depends on the users build. There is no universal fit CP.

I have owned the Gold, Platinum, Douglas and All-Star System 7.  In my opinion, the All-Star is the lowest profile CP out of those
