Has anyone tried attaching Velcro to the chest protector or the rite temp pads? Any tips on attaching the Velcro to the CP? The unequal uses a mesh like fabric that is porous, I was thinking of attaching the soft side of the Velcro on the CP with some superglue and attaching the hooks with superglue on the pad.

I used them yesterday for a softball game and noticed some major slipping with my unequal chest protector- yes, I have it as tight as it can possibly get.

This past summer I was using self-sticking Velcro squares (sticky backing).   This worked fine for one game, but would not hold for 2.

It got to be a pain in the butt to reattach new Velcro before every game, so I eventually just quit using the cooling pads.   My CP is mesh too, and I didn't want to SEW the Velcro onto it or otherwise ruin it for resale purposes.

If you try the glue, and it works, i'd love to hear about it and try it too.   If I figure something else out, i'll post here.

The first cooling pad I got (from Gerry Davis I think) came with a strap that had Velcro toward each end, so essentially you could hang the pad around your neck like a necklace. One could go around horizontally around your back too.I actually stopped using the strap, but that might be an alternative.

If you wear your chest protecter tight enough, the pads will hold in place. I've used rite temp pads for the past 4 years with out them falling or slipping.

I wear my unequal as tight as it will possibly go, sometimes I have a hard time even buckling it, and I have no gut to speak of so that certainly doesn't help to hold it up. But I ended up using superglue to glue the velcro onto the CP and the pad and I have used it for four plates so far and it has held up great, it is super secure and I feel much more comfortable with it on. I will post some pictures but it is a very easy and effective setup for anyone looking to make sure the pad doesn't slip.
