Starting up a whine list. I did a nineteen inning games today. Daddy's body is very sore.

I'll whine too. I won't step foot on a ballfield for another 2+ months and we're going to get 10 inches of snow tomorrow night. Suck it up and take some ibuprofen :)

Since we're whining.  I'm going to get a call from school in the AM that tells me to stay home from work, sleep in, go out for breakfast, and do nothing all day.  Being a teacher can be rough some times.  :sarcasm:

But, but, but my dogs are really barking. I'm in the desert in Southern Cali and I would really like to know what this snow you speak of is?

It's nothing like up there, but we get a pretty good amount of snow.  The zen masters at the NWS are calling for 6-8 inches here tonight.  We've gotten about 30 inches so far this year, which is above average for mid January.  If we get 2 inches, schools close (which is awesome when you're a teacher).  I'm originally from northern PA, so I find it funny how people freak out about snow.

Maybe if you had a better strike zone... :fuel:

Why did you go 19 innings? Was it a play off game of some importance?

It was a championship game in a MSBL series, 50 and over.

I got to use the following line in the following situation. Bases loaded bottom 19, no outs. Not bragging, but I call a good plate game and was surprised to hear, " That was high". So, being the very serious sarcastic umpire that I am, look at the dugout and reply, " Was it high in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th,5th,6th 7th,8th 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th,13th, 14th, 15th 16th, 17th, or 18th inning"? Much laughter about that comment. It was a 2-1 game. Extremely well pitched with one pitcher going all 19 innings. Walter Johnson.

Did you stop mid way for a BBQ and vitamins?

Thank God I didn't have to pee. At 55 I do that about 20 times in the middle of the night so I was probably ok during the game. Ha

19 innings on a 50 and over league game?  After one extra inning, I'd be hearing ''open up that zone, we're hungry''.  And if it went two extra innings, they would have known I WAS HUNGRY.

The only good thing I remember about doing MSBL was the post game BBQ's we were invited to.
