My name is Todd and I had the pleasure of working my 1st JC baseball game a couple weeks ago. I was told about this site by my partner from that game. I am excited to continue reading more and am definitely thinking about umpire school. I have worked 4 years of baseball and 7 years of basketball, beginning when I was 19 years old. I grew up about an hour north of Anchorage, Alaska and now live in Anaheim, California, after recently graduating college.

I have spent 3 years in the South Bay unit. I joined while I was attending CSU-Dominguez Hills. Have heard good things about the OC unit though.

Give it some thought for next year.  If you're in Anaheim, you wouldn't have to drive as far to work games.  I would guess there's a way to keep your rating intact so you wouldn't have to start over working Frosh/Soph games.  We meet at Foothill HS which is pretty close to you.

You can also look at the Long Beach unit as well. Was with them for 3 years or so and, like the OC unit, there are a lot of the college guysin that unit as well.
