Ok this may be a silly question, for the hairspray guys...... Do you prefer aerosol over pump or vice versa?

non-scented aerosol can of Aqua-Net (pink?) ... it's like $2.00, lasts ALL season!

Mike: I read thru 6 pages of shoe cleaning tips but failed to find a reference to wood cleaners. If it's Murphys cleaner that you're referring to, it can be used for wood and other materials, but why is that funny?

Yes Murphy's. I don't think it's funny; every year when the subject comes up someone asks why would you use Murphy's on leather shoes... Sent using Tapatalk

See, I thought that Murphy's would be a known quantity. I thought you were refering to the old idea of using Pledge on your shoes to get that shine we all like.

How about a year or two when someone dropped the Pam bomb- oily Pam apparently does wonders keeping dust/dirt off shoe soles. Can't say I tried that one.

1. Pledge has "leather wipes" .........nice to have in your "bucket" for a last second 'wipe/shine'

 

2. Before Murphy's was purchased by their current owners, .... Murphy's was used to clean saddles.  When the new owners took over, ...they never "re-did" the testing on leather.  That said, the formula didn't change either.  Well, since they didn't do the testing , they technically can't recommend it for leather anymore.  You do the math, YMMV

 

3. I think it was @BigUmpire who mentioned Pam, ....'I think' ....  he had told me something about a household product you can use that will diminish dust dramatically from your shoes
