Yeah but right now there are two and one of them I believe bidding closed last night. The other has been on there for a bit but I saw a thread on here ab a fake Nike on eBay so I thought maybe that was the one they were talking ab. It's listed at 499 which I would pay if I knew it was real.

I guess ill never understand paying $499 for a swoosh.............there are plenty of nice titanium masks you can fit with TW pads for a fraction of that price......

The one on ebay that has a buy it now price of $499.99 is a genuine Nike. I'm 100% positive it is real. I think $499 is a bit of a high price to pay right now considering the current market on them is down because it's winter but come spring $499 would be some what of a realistic price. Possibly still a little high but it's not astronomically high. My suggestion would be to PM the seller and see if he would take $375-$400 for it based on the current market and what others have sold for in the past few months. The worst he can say it no and then you can decide if $499 is a price you are willing to pay. I doubt that it will be going anywhere any time soon because it is a very high buy it now price compared to the past 10 that have sold on eBay.

I really wouldn't care if Kmart made it. I've gotten to wear a Nike during a few games and I'm telling you.....there's a difference.

Admittedly Ive never worn a NIKE, but I have had the opportunity to hold one and examine it.........I didn't find it particularly lighter than my titanium, I didn't find the pads anything better than what  I have........and the harness is , well just a harness.......

So, other than it being a catchers mask with a swoosh on it, what am I missing?......

If Jim Kirk sold em, they'd be comparable in price to any other Ti. Its the unobtanium that makes em cost so much. Supply is low, so demand drives to cost up.

My Nike doesn't have a swoosh on it and quite frankly if it did I wouldn't wear it. I'm actually not a huge fan of Nike in general but I give credit where credit is due and they make an exceptional mask. There is a huge difference in the Nike and other Titaniums when you wear it on the field. It's not only lighter than the others (which really when we are talking about a matter of a few ounces in some cases the weight really doesn't matter), what does make it so much better is the field of vision. It is much larger than any other mask on the market (and trust me I have tried em all) it also has an excellent fit and finish and it by far the strongest and most protective mask I have ever worn. Not to mention the fact that it is a rare item keeps the value up. Sure you will pay more up front but if you do ever decide to get rid of it even if it has a few dents in it from being used for awhile like any mask will eventually do you still have a mask that will hold it's value even when damaged. If you took a Wilson Ti that you payed let's say $200 for and then wore it for a year or two then went to sell it you could probably get $75-$100 back. Now let's say you buy a Nike for $350 and you wear it for a year or two then sell it. You're probably going to get at the very least $300 buck most likely more.
