Bent Steel Cage on Wilson FX

Last night I took a foul ball to the helmet during a high school fall ball game. The shot didn't seem too bad at the time, however between innings I noticed the steel cage on the helmet had bent. Has anyone else had this happen? Like I said it was not that bad of a shot so I was pretty surprised to find that it had bent the cage.

 

For those of you that have had this experience, was Wilson helpful in your dealings with them?

Not me personally but a trusted partner, not prone to hyperbole or exaggeration, had nothing good to say about Wilson. He had an F/X, just over a year old, which didn't have a bent mask but a foul ball that broke one of those (useless, IMO) pistons on the side that attaches the mask to the helmet. Not only would Wilson not help him at all with replacement, they wouldn't even SELL him a new part. It was new mask or nothing. They were unhelpful, slow to respond, and a general pain.

 

On the other hand, my dealings with All-Star have been the EXACT opposite, highly recommended.

My association had not a soul in it that wore a bucket until this year.  A fellow umpire took a foul ball that knocked him out for a couple minutes, and so everyone started to switch over.  I kid you not 3 frames bent this season.  Wilson did say that they would replace however I forget under what conditions.
