What I saw on the video was movement straight to the base, without adjustment to avoid being blocked out. Perhaps my view of the play was different than yours. We do agree that his feet were far from being concrete.

Straightlined means that the play is moving in a line generally towards or away from the umpire. For example, a foot being pulled as F3 comes off the bag towards BU, or a runner moving to third with an umpire in deep C.

Change to 'blocked out'.

I think U3 started too deep.  With a runner at second he should be just a few feet deeper than F5.  That would have let him move to his right to get a better angle.
