Drop 3rd Strike Looking

What would the proper mechanic be for signaling a D3K looking? I use the hammer style and realize at the upper levels it is not an issue because the catchers are better, but you never know with 10U and 12U catchers... I've read on here for a swinging drop 3rd strike but not sure if it would just be the same mechanic or not. Thanks!

Use your normal punch out, then signal safe and call "no catch!"

This is one time when, if your  punch out includes a turn to the side and looking away from the plate, you might want to alter it.

I always work on never turning away from the plate on my punch out so this gives me even more reason not to. Thanks guys good advice

I would just give the hammer and not the punch out and then follow with the rest.

"Strike"! and signal.

 

If by then he hasn't been tagged signal safe.

Just don't stay, "Strike 3 you're out!"  Avoid the word out and you are in good shape.

I don't use my punch-out in these situations.  I call the strike and then signal safe.
