Stretching a hat

Can anyone tell me how to stretch a wool hat to get it to fit? A hat I purchased is to tight and I can not return it.

There is an item that is called a hat stretcher.  It works very good.

Shave your head. Got to be worth a hat size or two.

I played ball...still do and team hats would shrink from time to time and I figured out this technique to solve the issue.

1.Take a scissors and in the middle of the sections of your hat above your ears slide the point of your scissors in between the hat material and the band material and clip through the band.

2. The more loose you need the hat the more cuts to the band.

Of all the gear I buy every year, the hat is the cheapest. Give your small hat away and buy a better fitting hat.

Take it to your dry cleaners and have them stretch it on the steam mushrooms. I do this all the time for my customers (real job).
