I've been saying for years that Selig is talking out of both sides of his mouth on the replay issue. 

 

He continually says he doesn't want to expand replay, but I believe he actually does want it and is not going to let the recent mishaps pass by without using them for all its worth. 'I really don't want expanded replay, but with the issues we've seen our hands are tied the fans are demanding expanded replay.'

I'm not really all that opposed to replay being expanded, depending on the details. The game evolves, technology evolves, and it's ok. Who knows, what Pud Selig calls "vast" might be pretty underwhelming. Maybe it's just they'll get 26" TVs and HD feeds!

I don't really see the issue. I mean, NCAA basketball has ref induced IR so they can be 100% sure of the call. Football has IR. Even LLWS has instant replay. I believe that 99% of the "reviewable" calls will be upheld. YMMV.
