I am looking at possibly purchasing some Under Armour Yard Baseball Trainers because they come in a wide size. That being said, has anybody used them and are they actually wide? I bought a pair of Reebok Filed Magistrates that were labeled 4E and they weren't even close to a 4E.

Really need some help on this one guys. Thanks.

While I haven't used that particular model of Under Armour shoes, I have owned others. Football cleats, running shoes, trainers. I have not had good luck with Under Armour footwear holding up over time. Maybe it's just me. I love most Under Armour items, I've just had bad luck with their shoes. As to your OP, yes the wide was wider. I'm a 2E and use mostly New Balance because I find them the most comfortable. YMMV.

I have found between Nike, Reebok, and New Balance, the NB wide gives the most room.  Reebok was barely noticeable and difficult to find (as of 2-3 years ago anyway), and I don't think Nike even pretends to widen their shoes.  Never tried the UA shoes, but have had a couple partners that weren't thrilled with durability.  They liked the shoe, just had to replace it way to soon.

All I can tell you is what the guy at Foot Locker told me when I was buying non-umpire shoes. UA is an underwear co that slaps its name on a shoe. Nike is now primarily an apparel company, but still makes good shoes. Reebok, NB, Puma are SHOE companies that also sell apparel.

Ordered the Under Armours anyway. Will buy a new pair of base shoes during the winter anyway.

ok. They got here today and I would advise that you order a half size larger, since it is the smallest 10 1/2 i've ever put my foot in. Luckily they will exchange them for me.

Alright guys. Wore the Under Armour today and they were really good. For some reason the New Balance shoes didn't have much in the way of arch support. (wore each pair for 3.5 innings, not one on each foot)
