World Series Crew?

I woke up wondering about the WS crew and it turns out that I can't find any info about it. Has it been announced? Why the secrecy? Are we worried about shady gangsters and gamblers?

Okay I've been told a few names, but not an entire crew from a "reliable source." He's never led me astray, but I wouldn't make anything public off of his statement alone. I will just say the results of this poll are very interesting...

I'm not saying it is 100% with the partial info I have, but there is some commonality.

Gerry Davis' latest umpiring assignment not only is an important one, but will be a record breaker as well.

The 29-year Major League veteran was announced as crew chief for the World Series on Tuesday, one day ahead of Game 1 between the Giants and Tigers in San Francisco, airing at 8 p.m. ET on FOX. When Davis calls balls and strikes in the series-opening contest, it will be his 112th postseason game, breaking a tie with retired umpires Jerry Crawford and Bruce Froemming.

This is the fifth World Series assignment for Davis, who also served as crew chief in 2009. He will be joined by regular-season crew chiefs Brian Gorman and Joe West, as well as Fieldin Culbreth, Dan Iassogna and Brian O'Nora.

Wednesday night's Game 1 at AT&T Park will feature Davis behind the plate, Iassogna at first, Culbreth at second, O'Nora at third, Gorman in left field and West in right.

West, a 35-year Major League veteran, also will be working his fifth World Series and first since 2009. This will be the third Fall Classic for Gorman, the second for Culbreth and the first for Iassogna and O'Nora. All six umpires were assigned to a 2012 Division Series, with Davis, Gorman and West taking crew chief duties.

But I can't stand watching O'Nora, especially behind the plate ... talk about ants in the pants! Ugh ....

Also, ...I knew Cowboy Joe had been around awhile, but 35 years ?? WOW!
