+1 Larry. I have no problem with 10 pages of disagreement over something but name calling or vicious sarcasm is not needed. Believe me, I am a big user of sarcasm and as long as it is used in humor or making a point, I see no problem. To attack a person, that is absolutely uncalled for. This is too good a board to let that happen.

+1, Mike. I never (or rarely) post on the other boards, because offering a simple opinion will rapidly develop into "well, if you were a REAL umpire...". This Board is a hands-down favorite, because we can disagree, argue it out, and have a cyber-beer :beerbangafterward. Warren's been great at handling the group, but eternal vigilance by all of us is the best defense.

While I agree with all that's been said, ...all forums tend to go through phases like this. Especially when there are a few that MUST INSIST they're right, or, think it's ok to belittle people.

When you have this many people all talking about the same thing, it's bound to happen, unfortunately...
