I wonder if it was a Miller beer the guy threw. Maybe Miller could get an endorsement deal. Worked for Billy Martin and Steinbrenner. Just a random idea...

Was this hockey? Basketball? No. Some fans are morons and you can't be mad at idiots for acting idiotic, anymore than you can a retard for being retarded. It's just who they are. I wouldn't press charges though. Kharma will have its day. Things always sort themselves out. Dude probably broke down and had to have a tow. S**t happens to those who shat upon others. He will receive his due comeuppance.

Nobody is condoning Lawrie's actions or the idiot fan's actions. Lawrie should be suspended, and the fan thrown in jail. But Miller made an FU call. He didn't miss the call, he had planned to call anything close to the plate a strike to teach Lawrie a lesson 'bout messin'. Just because he is a professional umpire doesn't mean everyone has to march in lockstep, blindly agree, and rally behind the poor, downtrodden brother-in-black. Anytime anybody says one thing critical about a MLB umpire, some people get their nose out of joint over it. I personally don't care for what Miller did, and I think people have the right to voice their opinion on the matter without being called a douche for it.

What's the big deal, anyway? Miller got a little liquid on him. No harm, no foul. All part of the game for any fun loving fan.

Kind of like getting spit on. Its just liquid, kind of the same thing right? It will just evaporate...eventually. Anybody think this azzhats slobber wasn't intermingled with his beer?

Find the idiot and book him in jail. That is, of course, after a stop at the hospital so he can be treated for his injuries sustained while resisting arrest.

BTW - I missed the article quoting Miller where he claimed this was a make up call for the batter showing him up. Can someone post it so I can read it?

It is a big deal to be spit on. That's an a$$ whoopin. It's not okay to throw anything on anyone at any time. Sad this day and age you think "what's the big deal." If I spit on you, would you smile while it evaporated? The beer would get you an land you an EJ. Spit would land you in the ER.
