Yes it does require a slight mod....

IMHO its the best thing you can do to a chest protector, thus the reason I originally suggested and showed the mod on this board. I've done it on my platinums as well as on my gold. You can search if you like or I can give you pics of my original mod with directions or just go with the old fashion way.
